CALL FOR CONFERENCE INTERPRETERS (CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETATION)

The Organizing Committee of the International Scientific Conference 2025 on "Patient Safety in Clinical Practice" is seeking highly qualified consecutive interpreters to ensure the seamless communication of key discussions and presentations.

📍 Venue: Auditorium C, LĂȘ Văn Thịnh Hospital, 130 LĂȘ Văn Thịnh, BĂŹnh TrÆ°ng TĂąy Ward, Thủ Đức City, HCMC

📅 Date: Saturday, February 22, 2025

⏰ Time: 08:00 AM – 12:00 PM


1. Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and fluent consecutive interpretation from English to Vietnamese for keynote speeches and panel discussions.

  • Ensure clarity, completeness, and professionalism while maintaining the speaker’s tone and intent.

  • Collaborate effectively with speakers and fellow interpreters.


2. Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in consecutive interpretation at international conferences or medical-related events.

  • A strong background in medical or healthcare terminology is preferred.

  • Excellent English and Vietnamese proficiency.


3. Preparation & Commitment:

  • Receive and review conference materials at least 3–5 days in advance to ensure accuracy in terminology.

  • Arrive  at least 1 hour before the event for technical checks and preparation.

  • Commit to the entire duration of the conference.


4. Professional Conduct:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all conference discussions.

  • Adhere to professional dress code and demeanor.


5. Post-Conference Evaluation:

A post-event assessment will be conducted to ensure the quality of interpretation, based on:

✔ Accuracy and completeness of interpretation

✔ Fluency and clarity

✔ Ability to follow the speaker’s content

✔ Coordination with fellow interpreters

✔ Professionalism and responsiveness
